What it listens for
People remember what something was, where it is, when they used it and what they want to do with it — rarely its exact name. SearchOnMac picks those out of what you type:

Fast, and on your Mac
Understanding what you typed takes about 5 ms on your Mac. Results come from SearchOnMac’s own index and usually appear in about a tenth of a second — the median was 90 ms across 83 real searches on our test Mac.
Tip: Searches never use the network, so they work the same offline or in Airplane Mode.
